While students and staff were out of the buildings enjoying summer vacation, construction projects made major progress in improving our spaces for the Hudsonville community. Check out the summer progress updates below from our Early Childhood Center and Park Elementary School.
At the Early Childhood Center, a large open space was split in two to become the new cafeteria and a multipurpose playroom (refer to the May blog post to see the before photos of this space). The current cafeteria will be converted into two new classroom spaces. The community bathrooms for the pickleball courts are complete and just awaiting doors. These community bathrooms have external access, keeping the safety of students in mind and not allowing access into the building.

Park Elementary School saw a lot of demolition and construction for the new gym addition this summer. The new addition was demolished and completed this summer. Three new classrooms and six new breakout counselor spaces were constructed this summer. Phase 2 of this project will include two new classrooms, a media center, and a staff lounge.

We hope you enjoyed your summer, check back for more updates as the school year continues and construction progresses!
